IALE-D Graduate Award
Award for the best landscape ecological dissertation
Every second year, the best dissertation in the field of landscape ecology (of the last two years) is honored with the IALE-D Graduate Award. This honor takes place at our annual conference. The award comes along with a prize of 250 €.
The award winner also gets the opportunity to present main findings of his/her work to the IALE members in the plenary session.
IALE-D Student Award
Award for the best landscape ecological thesis (bachelor, master)
Also every two years, we honor the best bachelor or master thesis in the field of landscape ecology (of the last two years) with the IALE-D Student Award. This honor takes place at our annual conference. The award comes along with a prize of 200 € each.
IALE-D furthermore supports participants of international summer schools; our award winners have the best chances for receiving a grant.
Award suggestions:
Supervisor of diploma and doctoral theses are called in every second year to submit outstanding work by March to the board for the purpose of technical evaluation. What is needed is only sending the work itself, without justification or evaluation. The winner of the board’s vote will be invited to the annual conference, where he/she will receive the award, together with a one-year free membership in IALE-D.
